The Ultimate Guide to Caring for Rebonded Hair: Haircare Rituals for Silky, Straight Tresses

Hair rebonding is a chemical hair treatment that permanently straightens curly or wavy hair. It involves the use of strong chemicals to break down the natural bonds in the hair structure, allowing the hair to be reshaped and straightened. The results of hair rebonding can vary depending on the individual’s hair type, texture and maintenance routine.

This technique is a popular choice for those who desire permanently straight hair, as it provides a sleek and smooth appearance that is relatively low-maintenance compared to daily styling with heat tools. However, it is essential to be aware that the process involves the use of strong chemicals and requires proper aftercare to maintain the health and integrity of the hair.

The La Bourse Hair Straightener (Normal/ Strong) is a two-step permanent hair straightening solution designed to transform curly or wavy hair into a sleek, straight style. Here are the step-by-step instructions for using the La Bourse Straight Styling System with a hot flat iron:

Note: Please carefully follow the manufacturer’s instructions and do a patch test before applying any chemical treatments to your hair. Additionally, it’s recommended to perform this process with the help of a professional stylist to ensure proper application and minimize the risk of damage.

Step 1: Preparation

  • Shampoo your hair without scratching your scalp and condition it as usual.
  • Towel-dry your hair to remove excess water.
  • Blow-dry your hair until it is completely dry.

Step 2: Applying the Straightening Cream (N1)

  1. Divide your hair into manageable sections.
  2. Apply the Straightening Cream (N1) directly to each hair strand, working through one section at a time.
  3. Smooth the hair with your fingers a few times. Do not use a comb.
  4. Leave the Straightening Cream (N1) on your hair for approximately 30 minutes. Check the hair’s straightness every 20 minutes during this process.

Step 3: Rinse and Straighten

  1. Rinse your hair thoroughly with water. Do not use shampoo at this stage.
  2. Blow-dry your hair until it is completely dry.
  3. Use a hot hair iron to straighten your hair until it becomes absolutely straight. The straightening iron will help lock in the straightened style achieved from the Straightening Cream (N1).

Step 4: Applying the Neutralizing Cream (N2)

  1. Section your hair again to work with manageable portions.
  2. Apply the Neutralizing Cream (N2) directly to each hair strand.
  3. Smooth the hair with your fingers a few times. Do not use a comb.
  4. Leave the Neutralizing Cream (N2) on your hair for 20-30 minutes.

Step 5: Final Rinse and Blow-Dry

  1. Rinse your hair thoroughly with water to remove the Neutralizing Cream (N2).
  2. Blow-dry your hair again until it is completely dry.

After completing the process, your hair should be transformed into a shiny, silky, and straight style. Remember that hair straightening treatments can cause damage to your hair over time, so it’s crucial to follow the instructions carefully, use appropriate hair care products, and avoid excessive heat styling.
